Question
Why is The Vacation Diet better than every other diet out there?

Answer
The Vacation Diet is the best diet simply because it works so incredibly well, and the weight you lose will stay off forever! Other diets are inherently incomplete because you can not lose weight in a healthy way simply by modifying the food you eat alone. This fact is something you positively must come to grips with - just changing the food you eat simply will not work long term. You have to take certain specific supplements (not fat burning miracle pills, they don’t work or no one would be fat), and you absolutely have to exercise.

Anyone who says their “diet” or “pill” or “exercise contraption” can be used alone to see lasting results is telling a bold faced lie to make money. If all it took was one small thing then no bodybuilder, fitness model, or anyone in shape would ever need a gym membership and there would be no gyms. Diet, Supplementation, and Exercise are what I call “The Big Three” and not just one, but all these things are needed to see the results you want. Like it or not, believe me or not, this is the way it is – you need these three things for lasting results.

Question
What exactly is The Vacation Diet?

Answer
The Vacation Diet is a guidebook. Think of it as a manual that will bring you to a better life where you feel better, look better, and are healthier. The Vacation Diet will take you step by step, day by day, and show you exactly what to do. There is no guesswork. You follow the program exactly as it is written and you will see results. Its that simple.

Question
How exactly does The Vacation Diet work?

Answer
The Vacation Diet starts with a two week fat burning blitz. After the two weeks are completed, you will have the foundation for a new lifestyle that will support a healthy living attitude and many other positive benefits. Only when all these steps are completed will you truly be on the way to your own personal physical ideal. You must understand that exercise, diet, and the right supplements are absolutely the only way you will see results that will last a lifetime. Anyone who says otherwise is flat out incorrect. But if you follow The Vacation Diet, getting results will be a lot easier than you might think.

Question
Why is going on vacation to start a nutrition, exercise, and supplementation program so much better than starting a program at another time?

Answer
The first two weeks of any diet are always the hardest. The Vacation Diet makes it easy. The two most important things to do when trying to start a nutrition, exercise, and supplementation program are to successfully form new positive habits and to avoid overtraining. Forming new positive habits will make it easy to continue your new program and make lasting changes in your body.

Overtraining is a syndrome caused by training too much based on how much nutrition you are consuming and how much sleep and rest you are getting. Overtraining is characterized by any combination of the following symptoms: constant fatigue, irritability, joint pain, low sex drive, lack of interest in activities, lack of interest in training, and some other undesirable effects. Obviously we want to avoid overtraining. Most people who quit new programs quit because they did not form new positive habits, they became overtrained (and probably didn't even know it), or both.

When on vacation, subconscious "cues" which tell you to behave the way you currently behave will not be present. Your current behavior patterns are absolutely the cause of your current physical condition. Changing your behavior by replacing old bad habits with new positive habits is what will cause your body to change for the better.

While on vacation you can sleep as much as you want, you can make sure to take all the right supplements, eat at the right times, and make sure to prepare each meal or protein shake exactly as it is meant to be. The Vacation Diet will not overtrain you and it will successfully form new positive habits which can last a lifetime!

Question
Do I have to go on vacation in order for The Vacation Diet to work?

Answer
No you do not. By adding in elements of The Vacation Diet over the course of many weeks you will avoid overtraining and you will successfully form all of the positive habits of The Vacation Diet with the least amount of difficulty. There is a section of the book which shows you exactly how to add in the elements of The Vacation Diet over the course of many weeks so you can successfully complete the program without going on vacation. Following the program this way will require more mental discipline than following The Vacation Diet as it is, but it is still easier than every other program out there.

Some people who already exercise may also start The Vacation Diet without going on vacation. Positive habits already in place may mean the only thing missing is the correct nutrition and supplementation program. The section for people who already exercise on a regular basis goes into more detail on how to perform the program this way, and it is just as effective as following The Vacation Diet as it is.

Question
I've tried diets in the past and I always gained all the weight back. Why is The Vacation Diet any different?

Answer
The main reasons diets fail is they do not successfully cause the dieter to form new positive habits, they cause overtraining, and they do not cause a fast enough physical change. The Vacation Diet is specifically designed first and foremost to form new positive habits, second to preserve muscle, third to avoid overtraining (explained above), and fourth to cause a noticeable physical change in the first two weeks.

Another major mistake of many diets is they do not have attached exercise and supplement programs. The correct exercise and supplement program is a major factor in burning fat while sparing muslce. Loss of muscle means the body needs less food to sustain itself, so when you start to eat normally again, you get even fatter than before! Losing muscle also causes a flabby look, which is something we obviously want to avoid. The Vacation Diet is more than just a diet, it is an integrated nutrition, supplementation, and exercise program that will keep our muscles from wasting away, help us to burn extra fat, ensure the fat we lose stays off, and make us feel great!

Your current eating and lifestyle habits are the reasons you look and feel the way you do. Creating a new and positive lifestyle is the only thing that will cause a life long beneficial change in your body. Forming new positive habits will prevent you from even wanting to go back to the old way.

Question
Will I ever be able to enjoy my old foods again?

Answer
Yes!!! You will! You will also have to cut down to some extent on either how much of your old foods you eat, or how frequently, otherwise you will gain fat again. Your old lifestyle is what made you need to lose fat in the first place. Its not as bad as you think, once new habits are formed, you will easily be able to retain your new shape.

Question
I don't need to lose fat I just need to tone. What should I do?

Answer
When you say you need to tone what you mean is that you want to be able to see the shape of your muscles more. The only way to achieve that goal is by burning off some of the fat around the muscles, so you do need to lose fat.

Question
If I start to lift weights and I start getting bigger and then I stop, won't it all turn into fat?

Answer
No, it will not. Muscle does not turn into fat anymore than your eyeball turns into your nose.

Question
I don't want to lift weights because I don't want to get bulky, what should I do?

Answer
Following the recommended programs will not cause you to get bulky. If you feel that your muscles start to somehow get too big, the solution is simple: do not increase the weights you are using. If you keep the weights the same from week to week, you will not add muscle size.

Question
I heard that women will start to bulk up if they lift weights, is that true?

Answer
No. Weight lifting will help women to sculpt lean and defined muscles. The idea that women will become bulky from weight lifting is totally false. Women (and men) can increase their muscle size by increasing weights or the volume of exercise from week to week but if they keep it the same they will not become bulky. It is much more difficult for women to add muscle and strength in general than it is for men due to women's lower levels of testosterone. There are of course exceptions to every rule but the fact remains that if a woman does not increase her weights from week to week she will not bulk up (and neither will anyone else).

Question
Is there a difference between the way men and women should exercise?

Answer
No. Men and women will both respond well to the same kind of exercise for fat burning. Men and women can both follow The Vacation Diet in exactly the same manner.

Question
Is it true that you have to both exercise and follow a nutrition program in order to get into shape and that doing just one or the other will not work very well?

Answer
Yes. You must include both exercise and follow a sound nutrition program in order to get the best possible results. Exercising alone or dieting alone will not produce significant results. Anyone who says otherwise is flat out incorrect no matter what new and never before seen approach, diet, ab machine, or pill they say they have.

The truth is you need to use what I call "The Big Three." Nutrition, Exercise, and Supplements. Then and only then will you see fantastic and lasting results.

Question
Is it true that even if I am eating healthy I still need to take supplements?

Answer
Yes. The Vacation Diet is among the healthiest and best nutrition programs on the planet and with all nutrition programs you need to take certain supplements in order to achieve maximum health.

Question
Is it true that middle aged and older people should exercise differently than younger people?

Answer
No. Everyone should exercise with intensity and follow an exercise program that includes both weight lifting and cardiovascular exercise. It does not matter if you are 18 or 81, everyone will see the greatest benefits and results from exercising this way. Everyone should also control the weight at all times. Anyone who does not control the weights they are lifting may become injured regardless of age, experience, or gender.

Question
Is it true that people who overeat have no self-control?

Answer
No. It is a natural instinct to want to overeat. Way back when we were evolving we had to kill or find what we ate. As a result, food was not always available so when it was, overeating would help us live longer.

Forming new positive habits with The Vacation Diet will help to curtail the natural instinct to overeat.

Question
Is The Vacation Diet suitable for vegetarians?

Answer
Yes. The mainstay food for The Vacation Diet is whey protein which comes from milk. Whey protein is the most biologically available food that exists which means for every 100 calories of whey protein you consume, the greatest amount will be absorbed and used by your body. Cooked animals by comparison are far less biologically available which means much more calories would need to be eaten in order to get the same amount of usable protein. Cooked animals also invariably have more calories in general than whey protein and therefore are far less suitable for dieting purposes. Whey protein is also less expensive than animal protein.

All of the vegetables in The Vacation Diet come from whole food supplements. Whole food supplements are invaluable in their ability to provide the body with essential nutrients while keeping calories to a minimum.
